Scholarship and Employment Partnership Program

Brightside Clinic is accepting applicants for its Scholarship and Employment Partnership Program (SEPP). The SEPP offers currently enrolled undergraduate students in the following program areas: (Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, and Sociology) a scholarship and employment placement partnership that includes the following:

Placement as an intern during their last semester of their undergraduate program

N

Tuition reimbursement for the last semester of their undergraduate program (up to 9 hours)

N

1 year of employment with Brightside Clinic

N

Free CEU’s (up to 6 hours) during the first year of employment

N

Sign-on Bonus included as part of the one year of employment

N

Opportunity to participate in a Leadership internship

Applicant Criteria:

N

Must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher

N

Be placed at Brightside Clinic as an intern during their last semester of undergraduate program

N

Successfully complete the internship placement at BRSS as an intern

N

Graduate with an undergraduate degree by the end of the internship placement semester and year

How to Apply for the SEPP:

N

Submit a completed application packet during the second-to-last semester of graduate school which includes the following:

  1. Application is signed by Undergraduate School Internship Placement Coordinator/Dean prior to submission
  2. 2 sealed transcripts
  3. 2 sealed letters of professional reference
  4. Copy of fingerprints
  5. Copy of Background check from Louisiana State Police
  6. Copy of recent drug screen
  7. Copy of recent TB screen

Be placed at BRSS as an intern during the last semester of graduate school

N

Complete an interview with the BRSS Leadership Team

Scholarship Stipulations

N

Accept placement as an intern with Brightside Clinic during last semester of undergraduate program

N

2. Follow all required internship guidelines and coursework during internship placement

  • If applicant does not follow all required internship guidelines and coursework during internship placement, then the SEPP is forfeited, and all monies paid out (tuition reimbursement) is refunded to BRSS by the applicant and the employment opportunity and sign-on bonus are rescinded.

Graduate with an undergraduate degree by the end of the internship placement

  • If applicant does not graduate with an undergraduate degree by the end of the internship placement, the SEPP is forfeited, and all monies paid out (tuition reimbursement) is refunded to BRSS by the applicant and the employment opportunity and sign-on bonus are rescinded.

Be offered and accept employment with Brightside Clinic for 1 year

  • Agree to reimburse Brightside Clinic for Scholarship and Sign-on Bonus should the employment end in termination or resignation during the year of employment, excluding extenuating circumstances on the part of the employee, as defined and approved by Brightside Leadership Team.
